YB Wong May Ing is the State Assemblywoman for Pantai Remis, Perak, and the Secretary-General of the National Women's Wing of the Democratic Action Party (DAP). As early as 2018, when she served as a Perak State Executive Councilor, she began promoting government affairs and international cooperation related to social welfare in the context of ageing society. She was a key figure in the formation of the Malaysian Association of Social Care Professionals & Homes and has for many years improved professional training and service levels in elderly care through the association, government, and international channels. She is dedicated to building a community-based elderly care safety net and promoting regional silver economy development, enabling Malaysia's elderly care and senior living services to align with international standards.
