🌏 Towards a Caring Malaysia
As Malaysia enters an ageing society, senior care knowledge is no longer optional — it’s essential.
This KAIGO Program in Kluang brought together over 400 elderly participants, offering them a hands-on, interactive learning experience on how to age with dignity, safety, and confidence.
Through this collaboration with YB Wong Shu Qi, our goal was to:
-
Educate the elderly on KAIGO principles
-
Demonstrate practical daily living and walking techniques
-
Inspire seniors to stay active, connected, and informed

💡 Purpose of the Event
Every awareness event like this brings us closer to a future where:
-
The elderly are not left behind
-
Communities are equipped with real caregiving knowledge
-
Care and dignity become part of our national culture
KAIGO is more than training —
it’s a movement.
Together, let’s build a Malaysia where ageing is celebrated, not feared.

🚶 Booth Demonstrations: Walking with Dignity
Our practical booth segment was one of the day’s most popular attractions.
Participants had the chance to:
-
Learn proper walking postures and assistive techniques
-
Try out mobility aids like canes and walkers
-
Understand the importance of balance, body mechanics, and fall prevention
Trainers guided them through each step, showing how small changes can make big differences in safety and confidence.

🎙️ Main Talk: The Reality of an Ageing Society
Delivered by our Secretary General, Dr Melody Ang this keynote shed light on:
-
The demographic shifts happening in Malaysia
-
Challenges and opportunities of an ageing population
-
Why senior care must become a shared family and community responsibility
The session was filled with powerful insights, stories, and real-life videos that helped the elderly visualize their own journey through ageing — with awareness and acceptance.

🎭 Live KAIGO Skit by KAIGO Trainers!
To bring learning to life, our KAIGO team performed an on-stage skit that humorously and touchingly portrayed:
-
Common walking mistakes made by the elderly
-
How caregivers can better support mobility
-
How dignity and communication go hand-in-hand
The audience laughed, clapped, and learned — turning education into a truly heartfelt and memorable experience.
This program was a testament to what happens when community leaders and professional educators unite for a common cause.
We thank YB Wong Shu Qi for her vision, leadership, and compassion in supporting elderly education, and for inspiring hundreds of seniors in Kluang to take the first step towards healthier, safer ageing.
